I'm 6 Months Pregnant

It was so weird in the beginning for me to think I was pregnant. It all seemed so far away. It is starting to set in that I will be a mom of 2 before the snow flies probably! NUTS!

Here is an update on where you guys are at...

Your babie's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts them at just over a pound. Since they are almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), they cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but their bodies are filling out proportionally and they'll soon start to plump up. Their brains are also growing quickly now, and their taste buds are continuing to develop. Their lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help their air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. Their skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.

Well, I am pretty sure you 2 are doing just fine in there. You have really stepped it up a notch in your "moving." The 2 weeks of faint butterfly flutters have turned into THUDS! Your dad felt you for the first time on Tuesday Night as we lay in bed getting ready to turn in for the night.

When I try to belly up to my desk mid afternoon, you now like to push up against the desk as if you are telling me... "move away from the desk" we need our room Mom.

Yesterday I was doing some google-ing on the internet. This is my new tool that I go to for everything that I need to know or learn. I knew pretty much everything about life up til pregnancy.

Anyways, Google states the AVERAGE TWIN Pregnancy is 34 to 37 weeks long. We are coming up on 24 weeks. This means if you guys are "average" you could be out by the time Thanksgiving rolls around. How exciting. I am starting to see Halloween costumes in the local retail stores, and I try to buy them and then remind myself that you guys will still be "cookin" then. You will be almost 1 year old by next Halloween. Don't grow up too fast. You 2 might be my only shot at "kids" so I want to enjoy and remember all of it.

Take note..these came with pink and green sheets to match but they feel like sandpaper and need to be washed. For now I left the clean sheets that Grandma Pam sent us in the mail.

This weekend I got a really good deal on baby bedding. I can't believe what you can pay for some of this stuff, but with my good eyes, and coupon shopping at Baby Depot, I was very proud of my find!

Today Adam turns 30 years old, too!! Happy Birthday, Adam!

We are registered!

We are registered and ready to go. We don't have clothes on the registry due to people telling us it is a bad idea. It is too hard for people to find and with the season change the turnover creates confusion. Can't wait to start getting gifts at all my showers!

Ultrasound Pics

20 week Ultrasound

I don't have ultrasound pics to post just yet, since the scanner was down at Walgreens, but today Adam and I found out the Sex of the Twins!!

1 boy and 1 girl! Everything looks good!

***I know Lilly is one of my top girl names but don't go and run out and buy things with the name on it just yet. There is a small chance Lillian may be a middle name but not sure yet. Adam and I are thinking of keeping the names secret til the end :)
