Back To The Grind

I sure enjoyed my 4 days home with family. We made a couple quick trips to down, but did a lot of lounging. Napped somedays, and somedays we skipped it. Lilly can't handle two days without a nap. She was sound asleep 5 min after this photo was taken and down for the night. It was 6:30 pm on Sunday!

 Sometimes what I think will "wow" them doesn't turn out like I thought it would. Pulling into the driveway tonight after daycare, this was pretty cool for them to see. 

Potty Training 101

This Blog entry will not have any tips for potty training, just a heads up. Not really sure what I am doing.

You know as a new parent, when you hear someone say.. "Little Johnny Slept Through The Night at 5 weeks old." You instantly jump to conclusions thinking either you are totally doing something wrong, or they are complete liars!

I am pretty sure, that I will never be able to stand around a Happy Hour Table and proudly talk about how my kids picked up potty training "over a weekend."

I am at the stage of thinking anyone who has this "claim" is just not telling me The Ugly Truth. Lilly was sobbing Saturday morning, telling me "I don't want to grow up!"

Some of you may wonder "Why did they go out to eat?" We needed to get out of the house. It went better there than at home I felt like. The 5 trips I made to the bathroom with them, didn't bug me as much as I would of thought. Maybe it was the fact that Adam drove and I got to have a margarita the size of my head with dinner.

She is a good sport!

I have been eyeing this "gem" for a couple weeks now. It sits on the outskirts of town, along a busy hwy hoping someone will buy him, along with other boats and RV's. I am in love with the color. Tiffany Blue/Teal. Charlie did not want to get out of the car to take some quick pictures, but Lilly was game! They didn't turn out as cute as I would like, but we had a good time. Take a look!

We Do Have A Life!

We got a date night in! It doesn't come around much, but back in August I set this all up. It was for Adam's birthday. Kind of hard to plan something so fun in August and then know you have to wait 3 months for it to happen. It was worth the wait!

Busy Week

Tuesday after I voted, I headed to Sunny Phoenix.

I can understand why old people flock here in the Winter.

Very pretty there. I didn't get to explore too much, as I was only there for 36 hours.

 

I was put in a hotel room that was set up for handicapped people. Look at my cute low peep hole.

I missed the kiddos, and didn't sleep very well being "away." I thought I would enjoy the peace and quiet in my hotel room, but I was unpleasantly surprised with sleepless nights and a busy mind. Bummer dude!

Adam and I have our "weekend away" starting tomorrrow. It is Adam's birthday present. Zac Brown Band, and a night in a hotel downtown MPLS! Sounds amazing, doesn't it?! 

This is the project for the rest of the month :) I hope to capture some more cute pics here pretty soon, too.

I'm off to Sunny Phoenix for work after I vote today. Will return in a couple days. I am sure going to miss my cute little family. I hope they miss me, too!  I am pretty sure this guy is the one that is going to take my absence the worst.
