Calvin Klein

As if kids don't grow up faster than needed these days.... I saw these at the check out section at Macy's and just had to have them.

Brings me back to the days when I loved Marky Mark and the Funky bunch.

I hope he stays sweet and innocent forever.

I'm sure he will be thrilled to see these pictures when he is older. I can just hear him. "GEEZ MOM, did you take enough of me in these underwear?"

The Dragonfly

The Dragonfly

Once, in a little pond, in the muddy water under the lily pads,
there lived a little water beetle in a community of water
beetles.  They lived a simple and comfortable life in the pond
with few disturbances and interruptions.

Once in a while, sadness would come to the community when one of
their fellow beetles would climb the stem of a lily pad and
would never be seen again.  They knew when this happened; their
friend was dead, gone forever.

Then, one day, one little water beetle felt an irresistible urge
to climb up that stem.  However, he was determined that he would
not leave forever.  He would come back and tell his friends what
he had found at the top.

When he reached the top and climbed out of the water onto the
surface of the lily pad, he was so tired, and the sun felt so
warm, that he decided he must take a nap.  As he slept, his body
changed and when he woke up, he had turned into a beautiful
blue-tailed dragonfly with broad wings and a slender body
designed for flying.

So, fly he did!  And, as he soared he saw the beauty of a whole
new world and a far superior way of life to what he had never
known existed.

Then he remembered his beetle friends and how they were thinking
by now he was dead.  He wanted to go back to tell them, and
explain to them that he was now more alive than he had ever been
before.  His life had been fulfilled rather than ended.

But, his new body would not go down into the water.  He could
not get back to tell his friends the good news.  Then he
understood that their time would come, when they, too, would
know what he now knew.  So, he raised his wings and flew off
into his joyous new life!

Weekend Recap

I know my posts are not as frequent as they usually are. I PROMISE we are still here and not going anywhere. We have been staying busy with typical day to day tasks, and I have been traveling back and forth to Rochester during any free time I have. Spending time with my sweet sweet Mamma!

This past weekend we all 4 went down to Rochester to get some family time in. It was a lot of fun. We stayed at a hotel and got some swimming in between our Grandma Pam visits.

Mom loves NYC, and she has this snow globe in her living room. She really wanted to get to NYC one last time. Follow your dreams, people! Live it to the fullest.

 Kisses for sweet grandma.

I get sad when I think of the stuff my mom is going to miss with the twins, but I am grateful for all the memories we have with her.

Cancer is ugly....it wasn't long ago and we were here:

Lilly got a cute new doll from Aunt Jen. Her mamma instinct is starting to shine through, and she is going to be one rockin' mamma!  I hope she looks up to my parenting skills as much as I look up to my mom's.

There was a basketball tournament in town so the pool was a little busy, but Lilly still enjoyed it.

Charlie and his daddy. I think Adam looks a lot like his dad in this picture. I am sure Nellie has a similar picture of Jeff and Adam around 1983 or so.

Cousin Walker even came up to swim with Lilly.

Aunt Jen helped keep the twins entertained, so I could help out with Mom and things around the house. It just feels good to be with the ones I love as much as I can at this point. Even if we can't get outside and do things, being inside and sipping on coffee and eating comfort food warms my soul.

I also need to thank Technology and Cousin Maya for keeping the twins busy as well. The blanket that Charlie is leaning on, is the blanket we gave my mom at the benefit. The blanket means a lot to me and my family during this time. It is really the little things in life.

It is now March, so I hope the snow goes away real quick and my outdoor pictures can start to re-appear. I really enjoy taking outdoor pictures as opposed to indoor.

Here is the snow level at the end of our driveway.

We really need to bring back pictures like this... See below...

How do you like my LOGO?
