Life's a Beach!

One of the many bonus' of living in Cold Spring, MN. We are very close to a TON of lakes!

I feel like I live "up north."

Sunday after nap, I packed the kids up and took them to the beach. Just me and my kiddos! We enjoyed every bit of it! The only downfall, was the fact I ended up having to monitor a family of mexican kids, while their parents napped on the hill. If I had people with me to hold my back, I probably would of said some fighting words to the lazy asses taking a siesta while their children play in the WATER!?!. I was alone though, so I decided to play it cool and keep an eye on Dora, Diego and Pedro. We named them that, because these kids did not speak english, and rattled off Spanish to us the entire time.

I may have said, "NO Swiping." when Diego stole Charlie's frog.

Lilly got a little sandy at the beach and I forgot extra clothes, so she rocked the park in a dry swim diaper and water shoes. 

Is Lilly A.) Pushing out a poop or B.) Pole Dancing.

I will let you decide.....

This Girl Loves Corn...

I should of known at the ripe at of 8 months old, that this little gal would love corn.

I bought some fresh sweet corn and watermelon at the produce stand off of 23 in Cold Spring. I shucked it outside while the kids played.

 She didn't even let me get the corn into the house to boil. Ate is raw right on the front step.

She finished this cob, like it was her job!

We scored this romper at Target last weekend in Rochester!

Bikini Babe

Gap Kids, is an evil place for me lately.

I'm like a fat kind in a candy store, a lush in a liquor store, I WANT IT ALL.

Thank goodness they have sales, and I have coupons! $13.00, and totally worth every penny!

We can't wait to rock our suits all week long next month while we are at Eagle Beach!

Yes, I did a little photo editing to give her a summer glow! I Should of airbrushed the bug bite off her cheek, but I think it adds a bit of character. Would you agree?

Chores..

Grandma and Grandpa Mergen are on vacation this week and into next week. We are in charge of keeping the animals fed, and flowers watered.

It actually is kind of nice, because it gives us something to do, and get out of the house. Changing the scenery once in awhile is good to keeps 2, 2 1/2  year olds entertained.

Grandpa Jeff got 10 new goat last week, and they are ohhhh so cute. Charlie really likes them.

Rain barrel is super full with the rain we have had this week.

Lilly has a sty in her right eye and a bug bite on her left cheek, but she is still pretty damn cute!

Kids love water...

We even brought Leni with, but I did not get any pictures of him, due to the fact he was chasing chipmunks the ENTIRE time.

All the goats are pretty cute to me, but this one below reminds me of a squinting old wise man trying to tell me something very important.

Happy 60th Birthday to my mom! This woman above is pretty neat!  Her small figure is a disguise for one hell of a work horse and one strong woman (physically and emotionally)!

She has a certain super power that makes any toddler instatnly bond to her. It may be the treats, cake, and never saying "no" to them, but whatever it is, it works!

High On Summertime!

Summer is here! It smells like summer, my hair is frizzy from the humidity, kids are out of school, we attended a high school graduation party today, AC is working overtime. It is summer.

Bubbles seem like good clean fun. They are not. They are messy. This contraption I bought at Kohl's Friday night, makes it a bit cleaner though.

Lilly tried out her first slip and slide at a get together for Adam's college buddies this weekend, and she loved it!

Charlie and Lilly got to play with lots of kids at the party. Little Luci below is 5 days older than the twins. How cute is she? Her daddy and Adam used to wrestle together at Saint John's University.

Lilly was very good at taking turns.

Adam tried to teach Charlie how to get a running start at the slip and slide. Let's just say, he caught on to the running part.

Sunday evening was cut short by severe weather. I think I could sell this picture below to a magazine.

When they realized that Adam and I were going to be cool parents and let them have at it and run in the rain, Charlie was pretty stoked!

We played a game and threw toys out into the rain for them to go get. Charlie liked it more than Lilly.

Soggy and cool now.
Once the thunder rolled in, we proceeded inside and jammied up for the night.
