Just Like Your Mamma

As a child you will hear a lot..just like...Your Mom..or Just like Your Dad. A trait I know I passed onto Lilly was my lazy eyes in pictures. I think we have sensitive eyes to flashes and it results in sleepy looking eyes in pictures.... I call them Drunk Eyes... Sorry Lil...

So on top of trying to get a "good" shot and trying to get you to "LOOK" up....it took some time.

This is the best I got..Charlie was a bit easier to take a better picture today. Don't you love his white "Jerry Curl"....

Weekend in Stearn's County

This past weekend we had Friday off work. We had a wedding on Friday night for Daddy's cousin. We didn't know if we would stay all weekend or not when we went up there, but we ended coming home on Sunday. It was a really nice laid back weekend. Wedding went well, kids did pretty good in church, hung out at the dance very well. Below is Ms. Lilly staring at all the people singing in Church.

Saturday we hung out at Gma and Gpa's and took naps. Charlie even took one outside with Gma Nellie in her 'pimp' Swing. I don't know what it is about Gma and Gpa Mergen's house..but you guys sleep really well there. Maybe it is the calm, silence, and fresh country air.

Saturday evening you guys stayed home with Gma Nellie and the rest of us went to the Parade in Eden Valley to promote your Gpa Jeff and his running for County Commissioner!! GOOOO GPA Jeff!!! We had to wear our rain gear and set Regan up with a nice umbrella and her stroller, but we got the job done! Daddy got to stay dry and drive Gma Nellie's Yellow Monte Carlo!!

Field Trip

Today at Daycare you guys took a field trip...to the Richfield Pool! Good thing Abby is off for the summer to help out her Mom :)

**Note Abby is the Daughter of Rissa (Daycare Mom) She is in the picture holding you guys. She is great help. A lot of the days she puts one of you guys in your carseat for me while I am loading up another one.

I still carry both of you at the sametime out to the car and into the house. I don't think that will happen much longer, I think my arms are going to rip off.

PJ's!

So we are NOT to the "Big Boy/Girl" potty pants, bikes, shoes, trikes, etc...yet. Tonight though was a big step.
* I didn't snuggle you up into a fleece sleep sac
* I didn't swaddle you (you were done with Swaddling by 2 weeks old)
* I didn't put you in a fleece sleeper
* I didn't put you into a sleeper, Period....
* I put you in BIG BOY/GIRL PJ's.


These are the ones with pants and shirt. I feel you are too young for these and you will still get sleepers most nights, but I gave these a shot. I will have to admit though, you look pretty cute in them. You look cute in anything.



I am pretty good at remembering where most of your gifts come from. Not 100% due to the volume of generosity, but I do know where these PJ's came from. See I not only have great Family, but also GREAT FRIENDS. These PJ's came from 2 girls that went in on a gift for me at Lori's shower she hosted for me in October of 2009 I believe. Bethany and Ang! They call each other "roommate" as they were roommate's in college. You have met both of these ladies and they are GREAT! I don't see them as much as I would like, but when we all get together it is great fun. Bethany(Blonde) is also a Mommy so she answers my randome questions from time to time...

So you guys are starting to get the gist of what is needed to be done to crawl. You are not 100% there yet but Charlie you can sure move backwards! Lilly will do push ups on her toes to strengthen up for the big day!..

Your Great Aunt Jen has a really nice co-worker named Gwen. Gwen gave you guys these outfits. I opened them up the day before you were born, and I though.."OH these are so cute!"..I also thought...6 to 9 months is so far away, they won't fit into these until fall. Nope June 14th you are in them, and have lots of room to grow into them, too. They are velvet and so soft. You guys are sound asleep in them right now. Thank You GWEN!!

Oh and P.S...today is Grandma Pam's bday!! Happy Bday Grandma Pam!!!

You guys remind me of a cute little old couple here sitting on a porch glancing out at the neighborhood, keeping track of everyone's coming and going. It also reminds me of a song that you will hear every year around the holiday's when the Brisk Minnesota Winter comes!

I am not an "Athlete"...

This week we have some help in our household. Grandma Pam and Aunt Jen came up Sunday afternoon and stayed home with the Twins on Monday and Tuesday. Gma Pam went home Tuesday night and Aunt Jen is staying with us until Saturday. Before Monday Aunt Jen..."thought she could handle both of them alone Wed-Friday"... I raised my eyebrow to her and said....I think just leaving 1 home Wed, TH, and Friday and taking 1 to daycare will be best. She agreed with me 100% after Monday with both of them and the help of my mom :)

You guys are a LOT of work, but I kind of have it down for the most part. I still have my days where I feel I can do nothing right, but at the end of the day you guys are healthy, clean, fed, and sleeping.

When people are visiting they watch me run around the house and say "I don't know how you do it.".... It is called Survival. You do not know your true strength until you are put into a situation. I do have things I need to work on and I am sure your father would agree with me, when I am freaking out and he is calm and collective.

Lilly's Eyes

Lilly you and I have something in common. We both get compliments ALL the time on our beautiful eyes. It is a gift. It is a gift you don't have to do much to maintain, just keep your eyes open and look at all the beautiful things around you, and people will tell you all the time how pretty they are.

Neb Babies

Kids both have an infected ear..do I guess I have a double ear infection between the two of them. They also had a very bad cough with some "weezing"..and they sent us home with a Nebulizer. The thought of a nebulizer scared me at first but the Doctors have been hinting around with the word when we would talk about Lilly's cough. I actually know a handful of parents that have had to do this with their babies. It really does clear them up and help them breathe I think. You can't give a baby cough medicine so this is the next best thing I think.
