Wednesday Flashback..

First.....

Well Charlie, this past weekend we had professional photos taken of you by Tiffany Photography. She does great work and also did mommies maternity photo shoot before you guys came into this world.

Anyways during the photo shoot in one of the poses you were on your tummy on the boppy pillow. Well you started to go to town sucking on your forearm. It was really cute, so we just let you go at it and snapped some shots. Well when we were done we noticed....OUR SON HAS HIS FIRST HICKEY!"...

As a mother my job is to teach you things throughout life... I just don't have it in my heart to correct you on where hickey's usually are, and how they usually are given just yet:)

Your dad said "I used to give myself hickey's all the time, and my mom would get so mad at me."

So I guess we can use the good ol' phrase..."Like Father Like Son"

Finally!!

We finally took you guys on your first walk outstide in your double stroller today. We have had a handful of nice days already but hadn't got around to a nice walk. It was all of us including the dog!

Welcome Weekend!!

Charlie I love this hat so you may have lots of pictures in it, just a heads up!! Looking forward to a weekend with you kids!! This Saturday is your Grandpa Keith's Birthday as well as your cousin Zygmund's. We sent them cards out yesterday in the mail!!

Pre-Photo Shoot

Well kids, you have your 2nd professional photo shoot coming up on Saturday. These things aren't cheap but they sure give us some lasting memories that is for sure. I won't do them as often once you turn 1, but I am trying to capture your first year as much as I can, as you change so much! We are doing a couple different outfits, but here is a sneak peek at one of them. I am getting lots of questions... "what are they wearing etc.."

This outfit is from Gma Pam, she picked it up at Children's Place. I don't know if this store will be around when you guys have kids or not but if it is, I strongly recommend it.

Wordless Wednesday

Spring!

Well kids this is your first official SPRING. It is your mom's favorite season along with Fall. This weekend was still a bit chilly so no outside adventures really yet but they will come very soon. I promise. Lilly you did hang out with Dad a bit yesterday but you still needed to have your snow suit on.

You guys will be 15 weeks tomorrow. Just 1 week away from officially being a "4 month" old. You have your 4month apt coming up and I hate to tell you but you will get those pesky shots again.....

Roll-Over Beethoven

Well Ms. Lilly before we know it you are going to roll over... You are so close. Once you do rollover though I am not sure you will know what to do with yourself. You arch that back or yours, cock your head back and twist your hips. You definitely have the logistics down. Charlie is content laying on his back and playing with his hands for now.

Yesterday was St. Patty's Day. When you are older I will let you try the traditional St. Patty's Day Grub. It consists of Corned Beef, Cabbage, Sausage, and Sauerkraut. I hope you guys are not too picky of eaters. Neither your dad nor I are. There is also a tradition to drink Green Colored Beverages (BEER), but I will tint your milk for you until you are 21 years old :)

I only got a picture of Lilly eating Cereal lastnight but both of you guys did GREAT. Charlie I will get one of your messy face in the next coming weeks.

Meeting Great Grandma

Lilly both you and I are named after our Great Grandmothers. What an honor. I got to meet my Great Grandma many times and I have lots of fond memories of her. She was actually around for 16 years of my life. Her name was Amanda Brekke and I can't wait for you to hear stories about her and look at pictures of her. Above is me with my Great Grandma Amanda and Great Grandpa Henry Brekke. They are the mom and dad of my Grandpa Dick Brekke. Man family trees can get pretty lengthy...

Your great grandma is named Lillian Anderson and she lives in an assisted living home up by Taylors Falls, MN. She suffers from a terrible disease called Alzheimer's that has robbed her mind of working and remembering things correctly. She is one funny lady and I have many stories to tell you about her, so when your children asked who you were named after you can tell them all about Mrs. Lillian Anderson.

14 Weeks

Today you little tikes are 14 weeks old. That is 3.5 Months. I am going on my 3rd week of work and things are starting to feel "routine" like.

-We get up at 6 am and feed you bottles. We both change 1 of you for the day , we give you a fresh diaper, place you on the floor to watch the morning news, and I head to the shower.

-While we get ready you guys talk, coo, and suck on your fists. You eventually move up to your swings if you get fussy and tired.

- I head to work at about 7:15 -7:30 is depending on the day.

- Dad takes you guys to daycare around 8am.

- I leave work at 4:30

- I pick you guys up at 5pm

-We play on the floor when we get home and I clean you up, thinking I can wipe germs off you from daycare. I know being around kids is good for you to build your immune systems, but I still like to clean you up :)

-Feed you supper at 6pm

- Dad comes home at 6:20

-We play and admire you all evening long. We laugh at you and I usually am singing some stupid song to you to make you smile.

- Between 7:30 and 8pm you get your bedtime bottle and head to bed.

-Midnight you eat one last time before it is 6 am again... (back to top)

P.S. on the above picture...Lilly I am not sure what you are doing above here but you look like a hockey goalie...

I'd Like To Buy A Bottle....I Mean A Vowel

Well Ms. Lilly, you are following in your Great Grandma Lilly's shoes. She LOVED game shows. Everyday she would watch Price Is Right, Jeopardy , and Wheel of Fortune or as we call it "The Wheel."

You get so excited at all the bright colors and "DING" sounds. I have Baby Einstein Videos for you but I have to admit I would much rather sit and watch "The Wheel" with ya!

Where My Dog's At?

All the posts lately have been about you Twins...why not you guys are so cute and 100% of our lives right now. We can't forget Leni though. He is also my baby boy, and is being such a great big brother to you guys. At first he wanted NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING to do with you but now loves to sit by me while I feed you in hope that he gets to eat some of your spit up..Gross I know.... Oh Leni I just love you.

Home Again

Well today the daycare lady, Rissa is sick so Mom stayed home with the kiddos! My new favorite site to play around with photos is http://www.picnik.com/ You can play around with photos for free or buy some premium package but I just do what I can for free.

Meeting a new pal

This past week my friend Jen had a baby boy! We were so excited since we didn't know if she was having a boy or a girl. Either way I was so excited to introduce my babies to their new friend.

Charlie got to meet him this weekend so next time I visit I need to bring Lilly. Charlie and I went to go visit them Saturday afternoon along with my friends Kristin and Emily, and we brought out Papa Murphy's Pizza. Lilly stayed home with daddy this time around as Daddy was on call for work and needed to stick close to home.

Evan is such a precious baby, and I can't believe Charlie and Lilly were that small only 3 months ago. I know people always say "They grow up so fast", but in the beginning you just think they are blowing smoke :)

We Are Family

So, with the past 3 months kind of being a blur I have managed to keep up on taking photos of the TWINS, but have failed at getting a lot of me and Adam with the babies. My next goals are to

1. get updated professional photos taken of the twins (3 to 4 months old)

2. Get a GOOD family photo taken of all of us where we don't look like we have been on a bender of no sleep.

3. Get Baptism set up so my children aren't old enough to dunk their own heads in the holy water.

Back At Work

Last time I was here I:
1. Could not sit as close to my desk due to my belly and the kids kicking like crazy for room.
2. Took a bathroom break every 40 minutes due to the kids being on my bladder.
3. Waddled around the office only to hear people shout "Holy Cow, you are still here!"

It is much better to be able to sit closer to my desk, take less bathroom breaks, and skip around this place with no pain of walking. I can also drink as much coffee as I want!!

What I miss:
1. Feeling the babies kick me and having them here with me.
2. Eating whatever I wanted whenever I wanted knowing that I was eating for three.
