Trampoline Park

A couple weeks ago, Adam was on call. I noticed the twins climbing the wall Saturday morning, so my mind started to turn. I was thinking of ideas to keep them busy. St. Cloud has a place called Air Maxx Trampoline Park. It is a huge building lined from wall to wall with SAFE trampolines. It is a great place, and even has an area for smaller children. Here are 4 different videos that I took.

Video #1

They had to get used to the trampoline and how to run on them, they took some pretty funny falls.

 Video #2

Video #3

Video #4

If you ever played "crack the egg" on a trampoline when you were younger, you will understand the 4th video a little better. Enjoy

The Wizard of Oz

It's a blizzard outside, and as usual we are roaming around the house looking for stuff to do.  I need to rewind a couple weeks and fill you guys in. The twins went to their FIRST real life play. One Sunday afternoon, I packed up the twins and their 6 year old cousin and we headed to The Wizard of Oz! It was great, Lilly got a bit scared during some of the parts, but she handled it really well.

I kind of wish I would click my heals together and end up on a beach!

Stay warm out there everyone!

Baby It's Cold Outside

The other night the twins asked to watch a DVD downstairs. Our downstairs has a "bite" to the air if the fireplace isn't on. I went down to check on them, and they had found blankets to keep warm. How cute are they?

Mergen Twins Make A Cake

Lilly has asked me a couple different times to bake a cake. I have always thought of some excuse as to why we couldn't. Well after being in Vegas since Wednesday, I gave into her sweet voice. I packed up the kids, brought the to the grocery store and we bought what we needed to make a cake.

It pretty much consisted of them playing with Water in 3 bowls, while I made the cake. They did help me count to 30 a a couple times, while I mixed up the batter.

My Mini Me

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree here.

She laughs at her own jokes, and loves to be silly.  She giggles nonstop and it is so contagious.

Looks like she is also getting ready to have children in multiple numbers as well.  This post is the first post I have done from the iPad , worked out pretty slick.

Indoor Play

The weather last weekend was stupid cold, so we were forced to do indoor play. We found stuff to keep busy, and I FINALLY brought out the paint. I used to cringe at the thought of this, knowing how messy that could end up. This went pretty well though.

Both the twins also got NERF Bow and Arrow's for Christmas from Gma Pam and Glen. They love them, and so do I!

This weekend was much warmer, and I got to take the twins to their first ever PLAY! We went to The Wizard of Oz, and they loved it. Lilly got a bit scared with the wicked witch, but overall she did great.

Baby You're A Firework!

The weekend before Christmas we had Christmas down at the cabin. A tradition we have done for a couples years now. It makes me warm and fuzzy just thinking about it. The sleeping may be a bit tight, but it is well worth it.

The past couple years, Glen has scored a deal on some really nice fireworks.  Last year the twins were a bit scared to watch them so I didn't get a chance to photograph them from the deck. This year, I made sure I could make it happen. I had to adjust my settings a bit to capture them, since it was pretty dark out. Some of them turned out blurry, but all in all I was pretty impressed with them.

Fireworks and the national anthem bring butterflies to my stomach, it doesn't matter where I am.  This feeling comes over me.  As I shot these shots, I thought about the year we have all had,and what we want 2014 to bring us.

These pictures gave me hope that there is going to a light at the end of the tunnel and something great is on its way. I pray that mom's cancer is exploding or imploding just like the fireworks and will fizzle out and disappear just as fireworks do. They sneak up on us, create a lot of spark, and noise, and then go away.

This one was a bit blurry, but I think it is pretty neat, how about you?

Here is  to a happy, healthy and "good news" filled 2014!

Of course, at the end of the fireworks show, I yelled "PLAY BALL", just as the grandma in Christmas Vacation does.
