Kids: they dance before they learn there is anything that isn't music. ~William Stafford

This girl can be the biggest GIRLY GIRL

But she can also hold her ground and take on Crazy Charlie when needed

I prefer watching these two interact over The Bachelor or any other TV show even!

Weekends don't count unless you spend them doing something completely pointless. ~Bill Watterson

Pretty low key weekend around our house this weekend but it felt good. We had picnic's in the living room on the blanket, we took long baths, we colored, we played doll house, we chased each other in and out of rooms, I took LOTS of pictures (more to come). We had fun.

We even started a band, see below.

Money never starts an idea. It is always the idea that starts the money. ~Owen Laughlin

As a parent you come in contact with many consumer products on a day to day basis. You find out what works, what doesn't, what is a waste of money, and what is worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY.

Since the Twins were born, I have thought of many things I would like to invent that would make parenting easier on us mom's. One of them is shown above. Must Make Mittens That Work! This poor kid was playing outside wanting to pick up items only to find he had no control over these MITTENS as his Thumbs were not inserted properly into the Thumb Hole.

Monday Photo Dump

Lot's of pics were taken between my phone and Nikon this past weekend. We had our cousins up visiting. Ayva and Maya! Having a 9 and 10 year old to entertain two, two year olds was pretty dandy for this gal. I got things done without as many interruptions bumping into my knee or pulling at my shirt demanding food or drink.
Eating a pickle while watching Breaking Dawn with us girls.

Charlie is happier than a Pig in "Mud" here..

Lilly is kissing Charlie here!
Adam got the basement and I shared our King Size bed with the girls and Leni.

Lilly sported a new hand me down Track Suit

We attempted some sledding with the snow we have.

Lilly's left eye brow looks drawn in here, not sure what the deal is.

Manicures while the Twins Napped

Charlie was amazed at how "pretty" they made his doll house. It still looks like this even.

Remember When....

One of the last times I was at home, I remember my mother saying something that I really didn't think about.
She said to one of the twins, "Remember when Mommy would just dress you up and take pictures of you on the floor all day long."
Guilty as charged. I think while I was on Maternity leave the only thing I made time for was to dress the kids up in all the different clothes we had and take pictures and post them on the blog or facebook on a daily basis for the family to see.

I have many many more but here are a few that I dug up on short notice.

As you get older, it is harder and harder to snap quality shots of you two, and having you STAY STILL. The other night Charlie was laying on the blanket as seen below. I had a major flashback and had to capture the moment. He instantly knew what I was attempting to do, so he decided to rock and and forth and give me a challenge.

If evolution really works, how come mothers only have two hands? ~Milton Berle

Lastnight we went straight from Daycare to Sam's Club. I thought about waiting until dad got off work, and to just leave you two at home with him and do the run solo, but see sometimes if I wait around til 6pm, I lose all motivation and do not want to venture back out. I had the momentum going so I just stuck to it and went to Sam's club. They have double carts readily available so I am a huge fan. I rewarded the Twins with 2 new DVD's of their choice. Lilly chose a Max and Ruby DVD, as we do not have ANY of them yet. Charlie chose and Elmo DVD with montsters and robots on it.

After I had my cart of :
1. Diapers
2. Laundry Detergent
3. Fruit snacks
4. Peanut Butter
5. Jelly
6. Granola Bars
7. Toilet Paper

All ready to go and paid for ($117), we settled down for a nice dinner at the picnic table in Sam's of  Hot Dogs for the twins (Cesar Salad For Me) from the Concession stand type place. They serve HUGE Nathan Hot Dogs, which were a TOTAL hit with both of them. Yummy

As always we got many stares, and were told by a random couple with Triplet Grandchildren that I have it easy. I just smile and say "Yes I can't imagine." I can't wait to teach my children how to deal with people's dumb comments in life.

One sweet little lady that was enjoying consession dinner with her handicapped son next us, came up to me on her way out and wanted to let me know how cute and well behaved my kids are.  Bless her heart for how sweet she was. Her favorite moment of watching me situate them down for dinner was when I turned my back for 2 seconds to get napkins and ketchup, and Charlie mangaged to open his hot dog, grab the HUGE frank and take a HUGE bite immediately. I think he was starving.

Long story short, I am proud of doing the Sam's Club run alone with No Tears, or Kids on the run.

True love stories never have endings. ~Richard Bach

Happy 3rd Valentines Day To My Babies!
This little girl is all ready not a fan of this Hallmark Holiday.

Thanks Aunt Jen and Gma Pam for the Valentines Day Package and Outfits!
We had fun opening them up lastnight.

They loved everything. Even the package of Dora and Sesame Street Band aids!

The mini bowling set was a huge hit, too.

Love the Locks

Lilly's Locks are slowly approaching the length where I can start to "play" with it not have the good old clip to the side holding her bangs back. Although it is a cute look, I am ready for the pig tails, ponytails, buns, headbands, braids etc...

Look at those lovely locks.

She got the backpack in the mail this week from a very special grandma for Valentine's Day.
It is a Dora Backpack even!

Of course, they are at the age where if one has something, so does the other. This even applies to "ponies"

Toyland Tuesday

This little boy may have not had the most stellar day at daycare yesterday, but he got to end is with a fun trip to the Mall with Mom and Sissy. Look at his sharp new haircut!

We ate dinner in the food court, I returned an item at GAP, and I let them burn off steam in the toy land. I sure do get starred at when I am in public alone with the twins, too. Some people stare out of cuteness, and I know other stare out of...."you poor thing." I can tell in their facial expressions.

They always take a bit of time to get comfortable with the toy land, but lastnight took them a little longer than normal. See...there was a grown woman playing tag with her 4 year old and they were BOTH running around like animals. I can handle 50lbs of toddler running around making a scene...but a 120 lb woman made it hard for me to watch. The twins and I starred for a bit and then I think this gal's boyfriend stepped in and told her she was pretty much acting ridiculous. Charlie really enjoyed playing with an 18 month old boy named Diego. I think when Charlie heard his name was Diego he instantly wanted to play with him. I only had to break up one fight between Charlie and Diego while Diego's father was busy texting on his smart phone.

One more thing today..

Message from Gma Nellie

Have I mentioned how thankful I am for our daycare provider? Not only is she experienced at daycare she is our GRANDMA NELLIE. I envy her patience with children, her clean house,  and small figure. Today I logged into facebook after a phone call and saw this funny update on my little Char Char.
Mandy, you're going to love this one....

I was filling the tub for Regan's bath and the kids were watching it fill up and poor Charlie leaned over a bit too much and there he went, head first into the tub!!!!! It scared the heck out of him!!!!
He's not having a good morning, I finally got around to attempting a haircut and he cried and swung his arms at me the whole time, so therefore I'm afraid it isn't the best haircut I've ever given a child...sorry!

We all have our days. Today Charlie had his.

Manic Monday

Some weekends I take over 10 pictures on my phone. Some cute, some random. etc. I have started to notice that I forget about some pictures as well. Lastnight while I was winding down after the weekend/Superbowl party, I found an APP on my phone where I can make collages with all my pictures. So above you will see some of the major pics of the weekend starting Friday night.

1. Lilly's Denim Dress
2. Bath time Friday night
3. Tickles by "kiki"
4. Lilly trying to give Charlie a "horse" ride.
5. Mamma got nails again
6. Super Bowl Party gear...

Having a place to go - is a home. Having someone to love - is a family. Having both - is a blessing. ~Donna Hedges

I will admit, I have neglected the blog a bit this week and did not post as much as normal. I have no excuses. I did work in Minneapolis in the middle of the week so that kind of put a bump in my normal routine.

Back to the picture above. It seems like just yesterday I was feeding you banana's out of a jar. Now, you LOVE to be a "big person" and hold the whole thing. Peel and all. You typically know enough to drop the peel in the garbage when you are done, too.  Charlie did SMASH one all over my kitchen cupboard on Monday night but otherwise no crazy banana stories.

Today before daycare, I was asking Lilly if certain people were "boys or girls"... She is pretty darn smart!

Superbowl party this weekend! Yippee! I am rooting for the team with the HOT quarterback.

Go Patriots!
