Hello Spring...It's Me, Mandy...

Just waiting inside for you to come around. This weekend I even got the Twins actual shoes, with rubber bottoms(seen above). I have been in love with their little leather slipper things for awhile now, but it is time for the next step. The leather slipper things stand NO CHANCE against pavement.

And why you may ask did I take a picture of Charlie's new shoes by a beer? Not sure... The beer was only 11.2 oz, and seemed small and so did the shoes so I set them by eachother. The Red Stripe Light, though was pretty darn good. So I guess this wraps up my new purchases from this past weekend.

The funny thing about this song is that I would sing this when I was younger, and really mess up the lyrics. My mom and sister remind me of it all the time! I think my translation was "I Love Rock N Roll, put another dime in the JICK UPS! BABY!

Wordless Wednesday

I want to keep this blog free of swear words, so I don't have much to say about the sleet/snowstorm that we got lastnight. Your Father had to snow blow the driveway at 6:35 am, to ensure we could get the van out and get you to daycare. Yes, your father had to snow blow on 3-23-2011. The average temp at the end of March is 49 degrees.... We have 8 days.

Who Is Behind This Blog?

I blog away, I take pictures, I post pictures, upload videos...etc. Every once in awhile I will realize that Charlie and Lilly need to have memories of their parents as well growing up. I think I don't have many pictures but I go back and realize, oh yes, I am still there.

St. Patrick's Day 2011

We are not Irish...well not that I am aware of. You guys are a pretty good mix of:

Norwegian
German
Maybe even some others I am not sure.

Someday I would like to sit down and hatch all this out.
So Mom, Dad, Jeff, Nellie, Grandpa, and Grandma...if you are reading this any information you could get me on this would be great.

Anyways, although we are not Irish that I know of, I still think I am pretty LUCKY to have you two little leprechaun sized things in my life!

Sibling Love....Kind of

So, let's go back to when you guys were born or even before you were born. I spoke with parents of Twins from time to time. They gave me this "look."....It was a look you give someone when their dog has died like "you poor thing."

Any who...they offered great tips, advice, etc. I remembered emailing them frantically between your 2 to 3 hour sleeps asking. When on earth did your Twins sleep through the night. I was so tired I couldn't even eat. Anyways, they would tell me their advice and then end it with words of final advice pretty much... They were below:

"Trust me Mandy, the first year is the hardest and then once they turn about 18 months you will Thank the Lord you have 2 because they entertain themselves."

You guys are only 15 months right now but by the picture above I think I know what they were getting at. You are slowly starting to not "need" us as much.

At the time being when I was running on 2 hrs of sleep, and up to my head in Laundry, diapers, bottles, formula, baths, crying, screaming, oh and on top of it recovering myself from a C-section. So I didn't really take their last words and get what they were getting at. Now I do though, so all is good.

Lilly you are starting to play your little brother like a toy. Today you chugged your half apple juice half water cocktail right away. You wanted your brothers cup. I added water to yours and thought that would buy you time. You took a drink, got a terrible look on your face like I had put lemon juice in it or something. You kindly went over to your brother...took his cup, and gave him yours. You started chugging his juice water cocktail. When you saw that he didn't like his straight water that you gave him.... you amazed me.

You took his cup and faked like you were pouring some of yours into his and gave it back and tried to say "here you go"... So cleaver and sneaky.

Lilly:

Height: 29 inches (12th percentile)

Weight: 21lbs (22 percentile)

Head: 46.5 cm (68th percentile)

Charlie:

Height: 30.5 inches (31st percentile)

Weight: 21.5 lbs (10th percentile)

Head: 48 cm (74th percentile)

Visit went "so so"... you guys got really scared when the Dr. started checking you out and didn't stop screaming until after the shots were given. 3 shots total. I am sure people walking past our exam room thought they removing limbs or something.. GEEZ....

2 Days Late on 15 Months!

So.. you turned 15 months on Monday, and I MISSED posting it on the EXACT DAY! Shame on me!

Today we head to the Dr. at 4pm for your 15 month check up/shots. I hope Lilly is not wheezing, otherwise they won't give her the shots and we will have to make a 2nd trip back to St. Cloud.

The nice thing about having your appt at 4pm, is that we get to have a family dinner somewhere in St. Cloud tonight. Now, I would love to go to Red Lobster, but we have to keep your attn. span in mind when picking out locations to eat out now. Faster the better......

Case of the Missing Mullet..

I finally came to the realization Charlie would not be blessed with the cute boy curls... so I gave the OK for Gma Nellie to cut it. I checked into Kids Cuts in St. Cloud, they wanted $15.50, so I thought I would save some money and have gma do it.

I know what you are saying..

So, do you ever hear a parent interpret their child's mumbles, and wonder how in the hell did they get THAT out of THAT?

Now, that I am a mother I get it.. Lilly is trying to say..
Uh OHH

Now it doesn't quite come out like that...but it is exactly what she is trying to say, I just know it. I need to ask Gma Nellie if she says that a lot at Daycare but I keep forgetting to ask.

One Year Ago Today...

I went back to work.

As most mother's approach the end of their maternity leave they cry that it is over. I on the other hand think I had a count down going on in my head. I was pretty worn out from you, two. I remember my first cup of Caribou Coffee at my desk in complete silence was like HEAVEN!

Below are pictures of you two, at 6:45pm the evening after your first FULL day at daycare. To think you would of still had 2 feedings between now and work the next day....maybe even 3.

No that is NOT a Wii remote between your leg, Lilly. That is a dog bone.
