Baby You're A Firework!

The weekend before Christmas we had Christmas down at the cabin. A tradition we have done for a couples years now. It makes me warm and fuzzy just thinking about it. The sleeping may be a bit tight, but it is well worth it.

The past couple years, Glen has scored a deal on some really nice fireworks.  Last year the twins were a bit scared to watch them so I didn't get a chance to photograph them from the deck. This year, I made sure I could make it happen. I had to adjust my settings a bit to capture them, since it was pretty dark out. Some of them turned out blurry, but all in all I was pretty impressed with them.

Fireworks and the national anthem bring butterflies to my stomach, it doesn't matter where I am.  This feeling comes over me.  As I shot these shots, I thought about the year we have all had,and what we want 2014 to bring us.

These pictures gave me hope that there is going to a light at the end of the tunnel and something great is on its way. I pray that mom's cancer is exploding or imploding just like the fireworks and will fizzle out and disappear just as fireworks do. They sneak up on us, create a lot of spark, and noise, and then go away.

This one was a bit blurry, but I think it is pretty neat, how about you?

Here is  to a happy, healthy and "good news" filled 2014!

Of course, at the end of the fireworks show, I yelled "PLAY BALL", just as the grandma in Christmas Vacation does.
