How The Times Have Changed

Pre-Twins when I was planning for a vacation all I had to do is worry about what to pack for ME. What I would need in case the weather was Cold/Warm/Hot, what shoes will be best for the activities planned etc. I gaze at my huge empty suitcase in my office with every intention to pack it, however I catch myself thinking more about.. "Is the house ready for Adam and the Kids for when I am not here?" It is Tuesday and all that sits in my suitcase is a new tube of mascara I picked up at Target over the weekend.

I have looked in the cupboards and refrigerator numerous times like a person with OCD, making sure there is enough food and options of food to keep all 3 alive for 5 days. In reality there is enough to keep them going for 30 days, I still doubt myself.

I am making sure the laundry is all caught up.
I am making sure the milk supply is good.
I am making sure there is enough apple juice.
I plan on making sure the cribs had new sheets in them.
I hope to wash our bedding so I can arrive home to clean sheets.

My god, I have turned into my mother.

  1. stumbled upon your blog. Its funny how your priorities switch once you are mom. Nothing wrong with putting your family before you :) Mama to twin boys.
