Free Ballin'

Lastnight we put the twins to bed at 8:30 like every other night. They didn’t fight bed at all. They got lots of outside play in yesterday. I went right into my bed and started to read my book that I am into. I turned on Charlie’s monitor at 9:15 pm just to check up on him. He was still jabbering away and talking but was silent within minutes. I thought to myself…boy he sure was up longer than normal. 45 minutes to be exact, but he didn’t cry or anything….


This morning at 6 am he started to cry and it was the cry that meant, “come get me now, I have no intentions of going back to sleep in my crib.”


I entered his room and he stood up. His sleeper was unzipped and only on his arms. His legs were free from the footies. He is known to unzip his sleeper so I didn’t think much of it. He had thrown all his stuffed animals out of his crib. I then remembered how he as “ played “ a bit before bed lastnight. He had his pillow case ripped off his pillow. His pacifiers were on the floor, his rubber dinosaurs were on the floor.

As I reached in to pull his 28lb body out of the crib, I noticed something. He did not have a diaper on and was free ballin.

This kid, slept from 9:15 to 6 am with no Diaper on. I will let you imagine what his crib looked like. Luckily there was no #2!

I slipped his arms out of his sleeper, and carried his stark naked body upstairs into our bed. I put a dry diaper on him and we cuddled for 45 min. I knew his crib needed to be stripped and thrown in the wash, but I took advantage of some snuggle time.

Update on Lilly:  Wednesday night she pooped finally! She also pooped 4 times yesterday, so we have one happy little princess on our hands.
