We were both very pleased, and so were the Twins.
Saturday night playground fun, kids games, bands, food stands, beer gardens, etc.
We ran into a TON of people down at the festival as well. These little munchkins didn't make it until 10pm for the fireworks, but they were still troopers.
"Mommy, I have a belly ache, from too much donuts," says Lilly on the way home at 9:15 pm.
Sunday morning at 10 am, we took the Twins to their FIRST ever parade. Pretty overwhelming for them, but it sure kept Charlie's attention.
More donuts at the parade for Ms. Lilly.
Horses were a hit!
Go-Karts were pretty loud and intense, but it made me feel like a kid again.
After the parade we proceeded down to the food vendors, and had some AWESOME Burgers with Gma and Gpa.
While the kids napped, I snuck back down to a quilt auction at 2pm. I am in the market for a new quilt for our guest bedroom. They had some lovely quilts to auction off, and I have a special place in my heart for homemade quilts, I am not sure where this obsession came from. I think it is a combination of things, but it is pretty weird for me. Long story short, the King Size quilt I had my eye on for maybe "our" bed, went for $900! Needless to say, I walked out of there empty handed. It was fun though, I love listening to auctioneers, even though I understand 1 in 8 words that flow out of their mouth.
